2 Timothy 1:7

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

The Greek word translated as “spirit” in this Scripture is “pneuma”. Thayer’s Greek/English Lexicon describes pneuma as used in this Scripture as meaning:

“To be filled with same Spirit as Christ, and by the bond of that Spirit to be intimately united to Christ.”

In other words, there is no room in the born-again spirit of the Christian for fear to exist because the born-again spirit is intimately united to Christ’s Spirit (The Holy Spirit).”
